Mahogany and ebony chest of drawers, the front with a slight central projection opens with three drawers in the waist and two drawers separated by a rail. Each drawer has an ebony frame that is also found on the rounded uprights at the corners. It rests on bent feet.

Jean- Georges Kobiersky (1760 - 1822) was born in Copenhagen where his father was a cabinetmaker;

Little known cabinetmaker, he settled in Paris before 1789, married in 1792 Marie-Françoise Formy, niece of Jules Hardouin Mansart

He lived at Place de la Porte Saint-Antoine during the Revolution. Then 233 rue Saint Martin at the time of the marriage of his colleague Jean Georges Ott in 1815 and this until his death.

He undertook the manufacture of luxury cardboard boxes, and the furniture store ordered several works from him.

He also delivers tables and corner pieces for the Saint Cloud castle

He closed his workshop during the revolution.
