Screen decorated on both sides. The six leaves are framed by a border in the imitation of makie lacquer on a black background decorated with peonies, lotus, foliage and birds of paradise.
The central scene evokes a lively landscape, crossed by a river and bordered by an eight-storey pagoda. Dignitaries converse under a tent, others cross a bridge or are in a boat, all against a black background.
The reverse side of the screen, also on a black background, is decorated with scattered motifs representing vases of flowers, vases containing feathers, utensils, tripod wine vases in the form of Jue, a scroll with ideograms.
