Jacques -Eugène Feyen (1815 - 1908)
He entered the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paul Delaroche's studio and practiced photography, but returned to painting. He exhibited at the Salon from 1841 to 1882.
This painting is most likely a preparatory canvas for the definitive painting entitled The Child's Kiss, which is kept at the Palais des Beaux Arts in Lille and presented at the Salon of 1865
