Pembroke Castle is a medieval castle located in Pembroke, Wales. It was built in 1093 by Roger II of Montgomery during the Norman invasion. It was built on a rock with Roman structures on the banks of the River Pembroke. Pembroke Castle owes its fame to the Knight Earl of Pembroke, Earl of Longueville, known as "the best knight in the world".
